In this workshop, you’ll create your own beautiful ocean-inspired resin charcuterie board, learning how to layer translucent coastal colours, build depth through your water and create those gorgeous foamy white waves that make every piece completely unique.

Whether you're completely new to resin or looking to develop your ocean resin techniques, Lou and Carolyn will guide you through every stage of the project.

Don't worry! If you're just getting started or you'd like to recreate the colours used in our original Gathered by the Tide project, here's the shopping list we'd recommend.

• A wooden charcuterie/serving board – the original project uses a board approximately 24 × 14 cm
• Kingfisher Pigment – for those beautiful coastal Teals
• Ice Glitter – to introduce lighter, fresher ocean tones
• Almost Midnight Pigment – for your deeper water and contrast
• Sand Dune Pigment – for warm, natural shoreline tones (not essential)
• Spider Silk Pearl Pigment – for additional detail and movement (not essential)
• Hummingbird Pigment – to add another beautiful dimension to your ocean palette
• Cell Magic – used to help create those gorgeous white foamy wave effects
• Mixing pots, stirring sticks and nitrile gloves
• A long-handled gas lighter – for removing surface bubbles
• Resin suitable for creating your artwork - Apex Resin One Coat 
• Apex Resin Cure Pro – recommended for your final glossy top coat

One of the lovely things about this project is that no two oceans will ever look exactly the same. Your waves will move differently, your colours will blend in their own way and your finished board will be completely individual to you.

For the closest results to those demonstrated in the video, I recommend using the Create & Bloom colours and products shown throughout the workshop. However, you're very welcome to use products and colours you already have and make the project completely your own.

So gather your blues, mix up your resin and let's head to the coast.
